We are Hiring an Aftersales Manager

We are looking for an experienced Aftersales Manager to oversee our busy workshops in Derry~Londonderry and Omagh. As a Company, we strive for the best in our staff and are looking for someone who wants to grow within Desmond Motors, and who is willing to give their all in achieving our shared goals.

About the role:

As the Service Manager, you will be a proactive member of the management team, with responsibility for the Service Department and reporting to the Managing Director. You will be responsible for overseeing and motivating a team of a Service Advisors and Vehicle Technicians.  You will be capable of leveraging talent within your team to run an efficient and professional operation, through the maximum utilisation of workshop facilities and the efficient sale of labour.

You will provide a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring all job functions and tasks are delivered in an accurate and timely manner. You will ensure vehicles are completed at the time agreed and giving advice as necessary to customers.

You understand the importance all documents for accurate completion, maintaining all customer record files and job cards on a daily basis and storing records logically for ease of retrieval. You will work closely with your team to ensure customers are invoiced for completed work and understand the content.  You will establish a process where service bookings and appointments are managed efficiently.

Managing and supporting colleagues is second nature to you and you have the drive and determination to maintain policies that constantly improve customer satisfaction and our reputation. You will work directly with Ford to ensure all Standards are understood and upheld. You will collaborate with Marketing to relay your department's seasonal promotions and share customer insights to improve the customer experience.

Experience:

  • Have a minimum of 3 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of a Dealer Management system (DMS) software
  • Possess excellent customer services and communication skills
  • Ability to influence & motivate to achieve maximum potential from teams
  • Ability to set targets and report on KPIs
  • Be numerate and IT literate, especially with Microsoft Excel & Outlook
  • Current UK vehicle Driving Licence
  • Automotive Mechanical knowledge
  • Honest, respectful and diligent
  • Detail orientated
