With Adaptive Cruise Control technology, you choose the speed you want to drive at and the system will maintain it. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it will slow your vehicle to maintain a pre-set distance. Once the road in front is clear, the system will accelerate to your chosen speed. Forward Alert is a technology that comes as part of Adaptive Cruise Control and is designed to warn you if you accidentally get too close to the vehicle in front.
New Transit Custom is available with an impressive list of smart, driver assist features including a Blind Spot Information System that sees the vehicles you might miss. Intelligent Speed Assist uses the Traffic Sign Recognition camera to first detect the current speed limit (when activated) then helps to keep you inside that limit.Cross Traffic Alert warns you if it detects oncoming traffic when you’re reversing out of a space. And Adaptive Cruise Control is designed to help you maintain a pre-set distance from the vehicle in front, automatically.
With our advanced Ford EcoBlue 2.0 litre engines, the New Transit Custom is designed to meet the tough new Euro Stage 6 emissions standards, reducing emissions and cutting your running costs. These engines may be smaller than the 2.2 litre Duratorq engines, but remarkably they deliver more power.
The flexible dual front passenger seat comes with easy-access under-seat stowage that’s big enough to store a laptop, files and other useful office accessories. On Trend, Limited and Sport series, the seat is available with a fold-out table, stowed on the upper part of the centre seat back. This table has a useable area of 345 mm x 240 mm which means you can easily place a laptop or clipboard on it. The fold-out table also features two cup-holders, a pen recess, and an elastic restraining strap.
Ford SYNC 3 is an advanced system that enables you to stay connected and control your phone, music and navigation system. Choose either voice commands or the 8” colour touchscreen with pinch-and-swipe gestures for intuitive navigation. Live Traffic can help you avoid the jams. You can even call up a list of local restaurants simply by saying “I’m hungry”.
Trailer Sway Control detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and reduces your vehicle’s speed to help solve the problem, making towing more controlled. The system slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.
Whatever your business, Transit Custom is flexible enough to meet your needs.
It’s available in three variants: Van, Double-Cab-in-Van and Kombi. There are also two body lengths and two roof heights, and a choice of Series and equipment options. Which means you can choose a combination that’s precisely right for you.
The Transit Custom Van is a functional load carrier, with a full-height, full-width bulkhead (glazed or unglazed), which separates the loadspace from the cabin, and the choice of two or three seats in the front. You can specify single or twin sliding doors and choose hinged rear doors or a tailgate.
As with the Van, you can choose two or three seats in the front row. In addition, the Double-Cab-in-Van offers an extra fixed row of three seats, behind the front row. Then a fixed glazed bulkhead separates the second row of seats from the loadspace.
Versatility comes as standard with the Kombi M1. With three rows of seats as standard it can carry up to 9 people. All of the seats can be folded or removed allowing for tools or equipment to be carried in lieu of passengers.
