The Transit Chassis Double Cab is designed to effortlessly move both cargo and your team, perfect if you need a crew and van conversion.

Available in long to extra-long wheelbases, and built with a robust ladder-frame chassis the Transit Chassis Double Cab provides a flat, strong base on which to build your perfect crew van conversion. And with a new 5-Tonne model available, you have a flat, strong base on which to build your perfect vehicle, however, you like, with up to 2,960 kg of payload and still have room for up to six passengers.
Wide-opening doors provide easy access to the intelligently designed interior. The back row of seats can be lifted to reveal stowage for your tools, laptops or other equipment you want to keep hidden. And the middle seat in the front row can be folded flat to be used as a handy work surface.

The new 5-Tonne GVM (Gross Vehicle Mass) variant brings the greatest payload capacity ever to the Transit Chassis Cab, letting you efficiently carry a payload of 2,960kg.

This extra strength makes the 5-tonne an ideal candidate for heavy conversions. And with all current Chassis cab wheelbase available (L3, L4, L5), it delivers the ultimate versatility for whatever you need.

Intelligent AWD is a torque demand system delivering surefooted progress over challenging surfaces. At the touch of a button or in response to driving conditions. AWD keeps you and your cargo squarely on the road. And for a weight gain of just - 60kg, you get added versatility without sacrificing payload.

Range of Engines
With a range of advanced Hybrid or Diesel powertrains, the Transit Chassis Double Cab is more powerful and more efficient than ever. With four powertrains available, offering up to 170PS max horsepower and 415Nm of torque. For the first time, you can choose EcoBlue Hybrid powertrain, helping you to maximise efficiency. The Transit Chassis Sigle Cab is also available with a 130Ps or 170Ps heavy-duty engine.
Room for the Crew
Transit Chassis Double Cab is a great solution for moving both crew and load and the same time. Wide opening doors provide easy access to the spacious, well-thought-out interior. While the dual front passenger seat and standard rear quad seat together offer comfortable accommodation for up to seven occupants, including plenty of under-seat stowage possibilities. Perfect if you need a crew van conversion.
Lane Keeping System
The Transit Chassis Double Cab's Lane-Keeping System uses a forward camera to detect if you're unintentionally drifting out of the lane. Lane-keeping aid provides gentle steering torque to steer you back into your lane. If your wheel touches the line or edge of the road, Lane Keeping Alert vibrates the steering wheel and displays a visual warning. The technology automatically deactivates at speeds below 43mph (64kph), or it can be turned off manually.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring
If any of your tyres start to lose pressure during your journey, the Tyre Pressure Monitoring system will want you immediately if there is a puncture by lighting up and icon on the instrument panel.
Power Folding Mirrors
To avoid accidental damage, power-folding mirrors fold inwards when you're parked. Tucked back, they also protect the stylish integrated indicators.
